what has got to change? every-friggin-thing? why not. i had to stop by here this morning and check out the scenery. it's been long whiles. in fact, i had to lay off the GS/HG for a while or two just to get to where I could get a fresh take again, after having spun nothing but for about two years. decided to take a listen to confluence recently, which, back in the day, was my first stop after chore of enchantment, where i made my encampment. confluence seemed slight at the time, but that seeming was way off. if fact, it struck me this morning as possibly the best thing on the planet, perfect imperfection or imperfect perfection or something like that. no jump out and bust your ear drums center of the universe moments, but none needed... just a great slab, all of a piece. i've been thinking i need to get away... something's got to change... wish i could go to tucson and just hang out with you, howe, for a day or three... that "arrival means you're right on time" sounded to me like an invitation. worry not, though, i won't show up on your door step. just something about the feel of that album made me want to be in the room, plucking on some steel strings, sipping a cold beverage, not saying much or feeling any pressure to be interesting... just stepping away (two days from anywhere) from that daily grind for revenue. sorry that your state, like my state, like every state i've ever lived in, is being run by a bunch of rednecks. sorry for the long bit here, which reads more personal that seems good for a public board. the DVD talk earlier made me wonder if the video being shot by the hisser mask person at the first barb show was ever made public anywhere. 13:30 on Tuesday May 11 2010 - utah

jorg, paypal has a great feature for sites that don't take paypal. you can generate a 1-time usage mastercard number and use it like a regular card on any sites. it's a virtual disposable debit card. sadly, i've been playing 'left' a lot today. what else is new? 18:41 on Thursday April 22 2010

In terms of the dvd, i watched it and enjoyed it, and there are some good perfomances and moments. There is some good footage of howe and the team on the tour bus etc. I may not be in a rush to watch it over and over but certainly a worthwhile addition to the catalogue and always good to support the artist. 06:00 on Monday April 19 2010 - anywhere

Lars, Given what you have to say about the PJ dvd I suspect you might not like the 'Sno Angel' one much. I watched it when I got it and quite enjoyed it. Question about the Snow Angel dvd... I've not yet bought it. I guess mostly because it looked rather too-lo-fi filmed for my taste (I was a little disappointed with the PJ Harvey film by the same director way back and it didn't look as if much had changed). But does it follow the process well and with good interviews that go in depth about the whole thing - or is it just tour footage and live shots (shakingly filmed)?
